What you will do:The Architect level developer will report directly to the Software Development manager and help oversee development and mentorship of associate developers and interns. A week in the life is below:70% Hands on development - The primary responsibility will be designing, building and supporting the company's suite of custom developed web applications. The Architect level developer is looked at to handle the most complex challenges presented to the development team, to help solve problems, and to help design solutions to challenges presented by the business. You will develop in the Microsoft technology stack and track projects utilizing Kanban. Some of your time will be focused on pulling stories and working on projects, some will be focused on taking more complex issues and providing design and execution for those issues. An example: You may be asked to design a rules engine to exclude specific information during a specific time, then build that engine. 20% Mentorship - As the most senior developer on the team you will contribute to the development and success of the other software developers. You will partner with developers at the senior level down to the intern level, this mentorship will help to grow the success of the development team, and to allow your manager to focus on larger more complex issues faced by the team. 10% Business Management - In partnership with the Software Engineering Manager you will spend some of your time working alongside business stakeholders and the project management team to understand requirements, help manage expectations, and ensure the development team has everything they need to be able to focus on successful development. This includes working with the mobile developers to help make sure the next generation of applications is successful and meeting business requirements.Skills:.net c#, restful api, leadership development, azure, sql server, ssisTop Skills Details:1. Experience designing, developing, and maintaining full stack .NET applications. Pilot is a full stack Microsoft shop and the majority of this position will be focused on hands on development within the IT team. This individual is looked at to handle the most challenging development tasks as well as help to design some of the applications. 2. Experience creating and consuming Web APIs. With the web, desktop, and mobile applications developed in the Pilot environment you will be creating and consuming web APIs on a regular basis. 3. Experience providing mentoring to more junior developers on the team.
