Systems Engineer to join our team to support our Aviation Programs.

Your day-to-day work will include:
  • Collaborating with various engineering disciplines with the Army Systems Readiness Directorate (SRD) Airworthiness Future Vertical Lift (FVL) to identify and defend the need for test or analysis data required to support qualification of aircraft/components and airworthiness release/documentation.
  • Assisting the government in developing airworthiness qualification plans, reviewing analyses, drawings, test requirements, and maintenance procedures with respect to aircraft qualification, quality assurance and sustainment and their impact to the airworthiness of aircraft.
  • Assisting the government in performing airworthiness qualification of aircraft/components. Verifying qualification at the component and system level for integration into an Army aircraft.
  • Assisting the government in producing hazard analysis for risk reduction of supported systems.
  • Reviewing processes and procedures for tracking of life limited parts and the overhaul of parts/airframes and providing recommendations to the government of the best technical approach to ensure the continued airworthiness of the aircraft.
  • Analyzing the envelope of aircraft via operational and/or maintenance instructions to ensure safe use of the aircraft/modification based on available data.

At a minimum you should have:
  • An active SECRET security clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain.
  • A BS degree from an accredited university.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent writing skills along with clear/concise communications.

You will be highly desirable if you have:
  • Software Engineer with DO-178 experience

This position will require up to 25% travel CONUS and OCONUS.This job description is subject to change at any time.
