Help Desk - Support Service Specialist Data Systems Analysts, Inc. (DSA) is seeking a customer focused Help Desk - Support Service Specialist to join our team in Huntsville, AL, to provide support to the Army and to begin an exciting career within DSA. The Help Desk - Support Service Specialist will provide solutions in response to inquiries for the Program Executive Office (PEO) Missile and Space (MS). PEO MS provides centralized management for Army Air and Missile Defense and Tactical Missile Programs as well as selected Army Space programs to meet Warfighter multi-domain and full spectrum operation requirements.The Help Desk - Support Service Specialist contractor shall respond to inquiries from computer users and assist in resolving IT problems. The contractor shall also diagnose computer hardware and software issues. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Serving as a technician for the implementation and maintenance of customer support
- Responding to telephone calls and e-mail messages from customers with computer/software problems.
- Diagnosing the nature of the problem and walking customers through the problem-solving steps.
- Providing technical guidance in the utilization of computer hardware and software, including installation, operation, and troubleshooting.
- Providing technical assistance support services, including receiving, logging, routing, resolving trouble calls, and follow-up reporting.
- Employing technical assistance on computer equipment including desktops, laptops, portable computers, high-speed printers, scanners, plotters, printers, and other specialized computer equipment.
- Assisting with reporting that includes metrics, such as number of calls, types of calls, resolution times, trend analysis, and other data that will assist the government in managing the Service Desk and assisting customers.
- Requires a Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other closely related discipline or Possess an Associate's degree or Professional Certificate in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, as well as three (3) years of relevant experience
- Possess knowledge and experience with Department of Defense (DOD)/Army plans, policies, standards, and methods aimed at the acquisition and support of military programs and resources for Army systems
- Experience leading technical discussions with internal and external customers.
- Experience supporting DoD technology environment
- Experience with general IT security concepts, network security and software development practices/methodologies.
- Relevant industry certifications including Comp Tia Sec+
- MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE DOD SECRET Clearance; this will be verified prior to interview. Therefore, only US Citizens can be considered for this position.
