Description The SAIC team is currently looking for a S
oftware Systems Integration Engineer to support the CAB AIL project in Huntsville, AL. Program Info: The S3I Army Interoperability Lab (SAIL) currently acts as the central network point for S3I tactical System Integration Labs (SILs) such as the AH-64D Apache, CH-47F Chinook, and UH-60M Blackhawk, among others. Additionally, the SAIL is an accredited Federated, Net-centric Site (FaNS) location that is utilized for Aviation Interoperability Certification (AIC) test events. PEO-Aviation has charged S3I and the SAIL to design, implement, operate, and maintain the Combat Aviation Brigade Architecture Integration Lab (CABAIL) network to facilitate demonstration and integration events of fielded Army aircraft. Responsibilities Include:- This position requires experience with system/software integration, with a fair concentration on software installation and applying new software functionally to a networked environment.
- The ideal candidate will have experience with the following systems/protocols: Link16, BFT, AMPS, and TSM Waveform.
- The preferred candidate will also have experience with Army rotary wing aircraft and system integration on these platforms.
- Candidates must be willing to travel, less than 10% annually, but is in support of exercises that can run a few weeks. Our team makes a concerted effort to keep contiguous travel for an individual at 2 weeks or less; some travel may be OCONUS.
- Network configuration experience
- Software installation/integration experience
- Must be a self-starter with good communications skills
- Verifiable experience configuring and operating military communications equipment
- Understanding of Cyber Security principles - we have a team responsible for implementation of our Cyber requirements/documentation
