Our Client has an immediate opening for an experienced SETA Software Systems Engineer to join their team in Huntsville, Alabama.
Position Description: The SETA Software Systems Engineer will support an Army Aviation program as a software systems engineer during the development of system/subsystem specifications, reference/system architectures, program briefings, white papers, and other products.- Provides systems engineering support in the development of acquisition milestone documentation for architecture and software efforts.
- Provides technical support in the development of aircraft mission systems. This includes upfront systems engineering requirement development and flow down, architectural development, sub-system and ICD development and management of architectural working groups and architectural software-in-the-loop laboratories.
- Assists in the assessment and eventual management of all software and software documentation in support of an Army Aviation program.
- Provides engineering review of all contractor technical efforts, including S&T and IR&D, and represents the Army Aviation program during technical reviews covering mission systems.
- Experience in systems engineering.
- Experience on a complex Army aviation acquisition program.
- Experience working on a complex aviation software development program.
- Experience with DO-178(B/C) certification.
- Experience with agile development.
- Experience in modular design, interface management, and open systems architectures.
- Experience with software development/verification tools to include integration testing in Aviation system integration labs (SILs).
- Experience applying systems engineering in the development of complex system and/or sub-system specifications.
- Knowledge of the Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE) technical standard.
- Knowledge of Model Base Systems Engineering (MBSE) and SysML/UML.
- Knowledge of Modular Opens Systems Approach (MOSA)
- Knowledge of SAE ARP 4754/4761.
- Knowledge of contract requirements and documents (Systems Engineering Plans, Performance Work Statements, etc.)
- Ability to execute software and systems engineering tasks
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to complete high-priority projects under strict time constraints
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Work effectively with others in a teaming environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Magic Draw, DOORS (or other traceability tools), and available SE tools.
