Location: Huntsville, AL Description: Our client is currently seeking a Aerospace Systems Engineer II for a 6+ month contract in Huntsville, AL. Candidates willing to work onsite.
Responsibilities- Participate in the requirements development for rocket engine test stands with multiple customers
- Develop, manage and allocate requirements & interfaces and ensure requirements are correctly linked
- Carry out systems engineering activities in accordance with system engineering standards and practices
- Ensure all aspects of the system are working to the correct configuration including drawings, interface control documents, and the design description documents
- Review verification records (test plans, test reports, analysis reports, inspection reports, etc.) to ensure the appropriate rigor
- Development and configuration management of products across the product life cycle
- Act as the negotiator between multiple and sometimes conflicting interests in order to make sure the system as a whole is optimized
- Effectively communicate development status, risks, opportunities, and challenges
- Minimum of a B.S. degree in engineering or other technical field
- 2+ years systems engineering experience
- Knowledge of current systems engineering and integration tools and methodologies
- Good communication and writing skills, ability to work effectively in teams, demonstrated execution and coordination skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team
- Exhibited ability to adapt in changing environment
- Experience with systems engineering tools such as DOORS, DNG/RQM or similar
- Desire to work in development, test and production phases of a product lifecycle
- with ability to work onsite
- Experience in reliability, maintainability and supportability analysis and execution
- System Safety analysis experience including Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis, Fault Tree Analysis, and Functional Hazard Analysis
- Experience with collaboration tools such as Confluence and JIRA Demonstrated configuration management experience
