Premiere Dental Spa at Madison and Huntsville is a new dental office opening in the newly developed Town Madison area. We are looking to hire a FT Registered Dental Hygienist for our Madision, AL location who is Energetic, Enthusiastic, Self-Motivated and a Self-Starter. Candidate must be professional, able to multitask, pay attention to detail, posses excellent communication skills while working in a fast paced environment within a team, as well as, independently. Candidate must have at least 2yrs of experience as a RDH (please do not apply if you have no prior exp.)
Essential Job Functions
Ensures appropriate standard of care therapy is achieved while assisting dentist with providing hygiene, periodontal/dental care and treatment.
Accurately provides hygiene assessments, creates treatment plans based on dentists diagnosis, and conducts oral and overall health care education and instruction for patients.
Conducts complete assessment of patient teeth, bone, and periodontal tissues determining the presence of any abnormalities or suspected diseases or conditions
Ensures immediate attention is given by dentist regarding suspected lesion in the mouth or on the teeth
Demonstrates proficient skills in the removal of soft and hard deposits and extrinsic stain from teeth, using hand instruments, ultrasonic cavitron insets and prophy hand pieces
Educates patients on best practices for good oral hygiene; makes recommendations as to appropriate products or devices for home oral care
Perform prophylaxis in the absence of periodontal disease of gingivitis
Conducts full mouth debridement, either as a first stage gingivitis therapy, or to remove interfering calculus to further enable a more accurate diagnosis and treatment plan
Accurately perform root planning as a periodontal therapy
Place locally- administered antibiotics as supportive periodontal therapy
Implement irrigation and desensitizing procedures or products as adjunctive to periodontal therapy
Proficiently conduct X-rays (intraoral and extraoral)
Perform in-office whitening procedures, including applying gingival isolation, initial and subsequent bleaching gel, and curing gel
Apply cavity-preventative agents, such as fluorides, pit and fissure sealants
Make recommendations as to patients' recare interval and follow-up needs
Non Essential Functions:
Clean and prepare operatory per guidelines prior to patient appointment
Sterilize equipment and operatories per OSHA guidelines
Assist other team members, including front office responsibilities
Follow all OSHA and BBP (Blood borne Pathogen) federal guidelines.
Licensures/Certifications:
Must Have:
Valid Dental Hygienist certification in good standing with the State of Alabama
Minimum Associates degree in Dental Hygiene, Bachelors degree a plus
Current BCLS (CPR) certificate
