Start Building Your Future today!We are seeking an experienced Technical Illustrator/Writer that thrives in a fast-paced environment for an Army Project Office. In this role, you will create and modify two-dimensional line drawings used in technical operator manuals, technical training manuals, modification work orders, policies and procedures, and repair parts lists. You must be able to use software to convert photographs and computer aided design (CAD) drawings into line drawings for technical publications. You must be familiar with analyzing and interpreting diagrams and schematics. To be successful in this role, you must have experience authoring and editing technical documentation consistent with DOD military standards (MILSTD) 40051-1, 40051-2, 38784, military preference (MILPRF) 63029, 63002, military handbook (MILHDBK) 1222, and industry standard S1000D. You must be efficient with PTC Creo and Adobe Illustrator. You should also have a working knowledge of: Standard Generalized Markup Language (SGML), Extensible Markup Language (XML), Extensible Stylesheet Language (XSL), and Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML) and possess the ability to execute publishing methods for SGML, XML and XSL. You will have the opportunity to interface with logistics personnel on DOD weapon systems, work collaboratively on multi-discipline teams, and maintain configuration and archival control of logistics program documentation.Required:
BS or BA degree
10 years relevant experience
Problem-solving skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office software suite
Proficient with PTC Creo and Adobe Illustrator
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain security clearance
