This position will be in Colorado Springs, CO, or Huntsville, AL.Position Overview:The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, to see the battle develop collectively, and to dynamically manage designated networked sensors and weapons systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives.C2BMC supports a layered missile defense capability that enables an optimized response to threats of all ranges in all phases of flight. C2BMC is the force multiplier that globally and regionally networks integrate, synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations to optimize performance. C2BMC is integral to all system ground and flight tests, which verify and exercise all current and future missile defense system capabilities.This is one of five team leadership roles within the Systems Engineering team, which is part of the Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (SEIT) Resource Management Area (RMA). This position will support the TO01 SE Task Instruction and Inc10 and beyond systems engineering needs on MBSE and general systems engineering. Ability to be part of an integrated team tasked with developing and maintaining the physical, functional, and technical baselines necessary to describe the desired capabilities of an evolving BMDS Command & Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) System.Essential Functions:
Is the first line of leadership for all MBSE team members and reports to the SE Engineering Manager
Is responsible for maintaining accurate metrics of team progress
Supports all team staffing responsibilities, including interviewing new candidates, dealing with team performance issues, and supporting team member growth and development
Is also expected to be technically competent in all the work performed by the team such that they can act as a reviewer of product to ensure quality
Is responsible for leading iteration planning for the team
Provide support to junior systems engineering team members to enhance their skills in the department
Adhering to DOORS processes and procedures
Review the content and details of technical products
Acting as a technical interface to MDA working-level counterparts on an as-required basis
Be actively involved in the efforts associated with Agile development, including iteration planning and status
Communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings.
Implement engineering plans within a project
Support various tasks on short notice
Work will be performed under the direction of various technical leads and product owners and require interfacing with team members, C2BMC management, and government customers to ensure high-quality products are generated on time and within the resources available

Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 12 years of related work experience, or a Master’s degree in a related STEM discipline and 10 years of work experience, or a PhD and 8 years of work experience.
Applicants must have a current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start
Ability and willingness to travel up-to 10% to support business needs
Specific roles on a program with respect to use case development, requirements solicitation, derivation, and decomposition through a structured and logical approach
Demonstrated ability to analyze high-level needs utilizing use cases/scenarios and relate them to the requirements
Support the development and review of interface documents, system requirements, Verification Cross Reference Matrix ( VCRM ) development, architectural documentation, system engineering estimates, and author and perform formal and informal engineering reviews
Must have experience with complex command and control systems, mission analysis, performance analysis, requirements solicitation, decomposition, and management, and application of modeling to testing and verification
Demonstrated experience in the development of models to drive solutions in complex systems, with specific expertise in DoDAF and SysML methodologies (e.g., OOSEM or SysMOD )
Demonstrated ability to perform object-oriented analysis to decompose existing (or proposed) systems into executable SysML models. This requires a thorough understanding of SysML element types to create logical and physical models that depict static and dynamic system behaviors
Good understanding of the layered architecture concept and ability to illustrate how layered architecture could be applied to modeling system behaviors such as element interactions, internal and external interfaces, states, and viewpoints/views
Extensive experience transitioning mature and evolving projects into MBSE
Candidate should have experience with Cameo (or Magic Draw ) and Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements ( DOORs )
Deep understanding of requirements solicitation, derivation, and decomposition to lower-level subsystems and components; maintenance of system and component baselines in a requirement management system; defining the relationships between internal and external components; communicating system-level use cases and associated Epics and Feature relationships to a diverse group of customers, developers, engineers, subject matter experts, and users
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with other MBSE tools (is a plus):

Should have a good understanding of Data Quality with respect to MBSE model sustainment
Experience with Agile Methods and Epic and Feature definition is a plus
Experience with Cyber Security, Risk Management, and network design is also desired

Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
