(nSI) enables our customers by supplying products, services, and expertise with powerful, data driven insights that transform defense systems and improve capabilities.We are pleased to announce the opening for a Missile Component Qualification Specialist, who will join our Engineering Services Division in Huntsville, Alabama and become part of our rapidly growing technology company operating in missile defense, cybersecurity, test range modernization, biotechnology, and space control marketspaces. You will be part of a team known for fielding multiple product lines that test and expand the capabilities of the Missile Defense programs.Responsibilities:
Providing technical and programmatic recommendations for the coordination of multiple concurrent Targets and Countermeasures (TCM) qualification programs.
Driving the contractor production houses to build accurate and executable qualification programs to support the rapid pace dictated by the needs of MDA.
Ensuring qualification plans are maintained throughout the lifecycle of the development of the program by building and maintaining solid lines of communication with the contractor teams.
Keeping the TCM program office fully informed on progress and refinements to the schedules as they mature and ensure changes are accurately communicated so that potential impacts can be managed.
Applying experience to ensure the tests plans are created in with the proper scope and detail to lead towards a successful test event.
Supporting and witnessing test events to ensure test execution is performed at a level consistent with the developed plans and procedures.
Supporting monthly and quarterly reviews of product lines to ensure the evolving needs of our mission are firmly on track.
Participating in multiple IPT meetings to ensure impacts across teams are tracked and accounted for in the overall test schedules.
Ensuring all resources for a successful test are in place for, including personnel, time, logistics, preparation, test fixtures, etc.
Basic Qualifications:
You must have a master’s degree and 12+ years of full-time professional experience or bachelor’s degree and 20+ years of full-time professional experience.
You must possess or can obtain an active SECRET clearance.
You must be a U.S. citizen to be eligible for this position.
Works independently and/or leads teams to analyze and resolve problems.
Must be able to provide daily supervision and direction to support teams as applicable.
Strong communication skills to include oral, written and briefing.
Capability to develop and clearly present reports and presentations to senior management-level personnel.
Must be proficient in Microsoft tools, e.g. PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Word
Must be a pro-active, self-starter.
Lacking any one of these disqualifies you from this job.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience executing hardware qualification programs from the planning stage through test execution.
Familiarity with requirement standards related to qualification of missile programs, in particular Vibration, Shock, Thermal, and Electro-Magnetic Interference.
Familiarity with planning software tools such as Microsoft Project or Primavera.
Familiarity with the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) organization/processes and the Missile Defense System (MDS).
Familiarity with government acquisition, systems engineering, and program lifecycle planning.
Prior experience working directly with prime contractors and Federally Funded Research & Development Centers (FFRDCs) on behalf of the government.
Technical proposal development and evaluation.
Certified test conductor.
