Principal Field Computer Systems Analyst

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Field Computer Systems Analysist to join our team of qualified, diverse professionals located in El Paso, TX. Systems analyst will be responsible for establishing and documenting system parameters and formats, ensuring hardware and software compatability and coordinates and.or modifies system parameters in terms of existing and projected computer capavity and capabilities. Revises existing systems and procedures to correct deficiencies and maintain more effective data handling, conversion, input.output requirements and storage. Duties may include (but are not limited to) representing the IBCS program as the primary point of contact for an IBCS-enabled Patriot missile battery. Integrating and maintaining systems running Red Hat Enterprise Linux and integration of COTS/GOTS products with IAMD IBCS systems. Assists in the emplacement and initialization of the IBCS system. Assists in optimizing the IBCS network. Advises soldiers on the capabilities/limitations of the IBCS system. Assists in troubleshooting IBCS hardware, software and networks. Provides updated information on the system capabilities through direct liasion with remote engineers. Maintains working knowledge of threat system capabilities. Provides feedback to program leadership regarding system performance and end-user comments. Works daily in the unit's area of operations; directly supports testing and field exercises; deploys with the unit when applicable. Also, responsible to work with the Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to maintain situational awareness of all product development, and provide early identification and resolution of development issues.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a Technology program or associates degree with additional years experience Competence is required in the Patriot Missile System with full working knowledge of Air Defense concepts Ability to function independently Experience providing technical advice and assistance to unit personnel with operational and tactical procedures for the Patriot Weapon System. Must have successfully completed MOS 24T/14E/140E training. Experience actively managing daily operations Experience performing as Liaison with internal personnel and outside customer represenataives at various management levels concerning operations or scheduling or specific phases of projects. Experience conducting briefings and participating in technical meetings for internal and external representatives concerning specific operations. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and work in extreme environments Preferred Qualifications: System administration experience with the following: Red Hat Enterprise Linux and experience operating wihin a Continuous Deliver/Continous Integration culture Experience integrating COTS, GOTS and custom software in a security constrained environment Patriot Top Gun, ADAFCO, Master Gunner graduate Joint Tactical Information Distribution System-JT101 course or Multi-TDL Advanced Joint Interoperability (Majic) Course graduate Army Basic Instructor Course or Small Group Instructor Training course graduate Northrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
