Maintains diesel equipment operation by completing inspections and preventive maintenance requirements; correcting vehicle deficiencies; making adjustments; keeping records of all maintenance performed. Must be familiar with all aspects of truck operations and understand the functions of the major components and systems. Good analytical skills to diagnose problems and make decisions about repairs. Must be competent at using servicing and maintenance tools equipment. Have good interpersonal skills to discuss vehicle problems with company drivers. Organized with tools and parts. Must be dependable. Must be willing to learn something new. Work on call schedule.
