Safety Research Corporation of America seeks an experienced programmer to join our team. Safety Research Corporation of America seeks a journeyman programmer to join our team. The candidate will be assisting with the development of web-based applications and other custom software programs for government and commercial clients. The candidate will support systems for in-house use and will be required to work with limited direction and in teams. The Programmer must have entry-level experience working with multiple operating systems and have the ability to improve software while maintaining good maintenance processes (e.g., writing shell/batch scripts or small programs to automate repetitive tasks).
This position is NOT A REMOTE POSITION and requires the person to be physically located in the Dothan, AL office. No relocation expenses are provided.General RequirementsThe candidate will be required to perform the tasks below:- Design new features and enhancements for web applications using web framework ASP.NET MVC and Web forms.
- Work with SQL statements and Entity Framework.
- Participate in continuous iterative process improvements around design, implementation, and testing to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Actively communicates, develops human relations, encourages team building, and can work using a shared decision-making approach.
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Must be able to write in HTML/CSS/JavaScript.
- Must have at least one year of experience with C#, Java, or C (C# preferred)
- Experience with development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of public-facing mobile apps designed to run on popular mobile platforms (currently iOS and Android) and standard mobile devices (currently iPhones and iPads).
- Front-end development experience in HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, and mobile design.
- Drupal CMS experience using Angular, PHP, Ajax, CSS, HTML, Solr, and Twig.
- 508 compliance experience implementing WCAG Level A and AA standards.
- Technical knowledge of current hardware and operating systems and understanding of industry-standard development tools.
- Ability to determine whether a particular problem is caused by hardware, operating systems, software, application programs, etc.
- Experience interfacing with back-end applications using web services using Web API.
- Back-end Mobile API development skills, including C#, XML, Web API, JSON, .NET 3.5 and later, .NET Core & MVC a plus, SSL/TLS, IIS, SQL Server, etc.
- Experience in DevOps, Test Driven Development, mocking frameworks, dependency injection, and experience and/or willingness to assist in building out test automation.
