Cooks are a key part of Metro Diner’s success. It is your responsibility to prepare food products according to Metro Diner recipes using a variety of processes, equipment, and utensils. Metro Diner’s kitchens are our showpieces so it is essential to always keep your station clean.
The dishwashing team is responsible for washing and cleaning all tableware, pots, pans, and cooking equipment for the diner. The dishwashing area must be kept cleaned and organized throughout each shift.

The understanding that proactively restocking food items reduces ticket times

You might also have:
Experience as a Cook in a fast-paced work environment
Skills in communicating with fellow Cooks and other Team Members to ensure orders are produced efficiently with minimal ticket time
Knowledge of proper rotation of inventory and FIFO system
Working experience in organizing and labeling shelves, equipment, and ingredients
Motivation to seek cross-training and professional development in other functional areas
Dishwashers
The ability to wash and clean all tableware, pots, pans, cooking equipment, and bus tubs
The capability to wash all equipment, mats, and walls in the dish work area and office
Organizational skills to keep equipment and work area clean
The ability to handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss
A commitment to ensuring that the outside of the diner is clean and free of debris
The observational skills to monitor dish machine water temperature and adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies
Willingness to bag and haul dish room trash to dumpster
You may also have:
Experience as a Dish Washer in a fast-paced work environment
Working knowledge of loading rinsed items into the dish machine, running the machine, and then unloading the machine
Experience assisting in stocking deliveries
