Load Planner

To be successful as a Load Planner, one must be able to work with a sense of urgency while maintaining the responsibility for scheduling every inbound truck with an available load in your area. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Schedule trucks to meet daily plant capacityEnsure carriers and drivers meet all PPE requirements for each plantCommunicate with inside sales, shipping superintendent, and supply chain managers dailyProvide timely customer service on any requestsNegotiate competitive contract pricing with carriersOnboard new carriers as neededSend daily reports to plantsMonitor and track carrier KPIsUtilize MercuryGate to ensure carrier compliance with load updating and invoicingReview and send weekly invoices to plantsKeep shared tracking files up to dateUpdate and organize company-shared drive
