Job Title: Maintenance MechanicJob DescriptionMetal X, a metal recycling company focusing on Non-Ferrous metals, is seeking maintenance mechanics for their Auburn facility. Mechanics will be responsible for mechanical repairs on equipment, troubleshooting and repairing conveyor systems, swapping out drives and 3-phase motors, and working on mobile equipment such as forklifts and skid steers. Responsibilities include replacing hydraulic hoses, light fabrication, changing out hydraulic cylinders, and maintaining shredder machines by changing blades and augers.On the 3rd shift, mechanics will primarily handle preventive maintenance (PM) tasks, with an 80/20 split between PM and reactive maintenance (RM). Tasks include changing belts on conveyor lines, swapping out head pulleys, and changing bearings. Mechanics will PM conveyor systems, mobile cranes, yard trucks, and skid steers. They will document all PMs and make notes on visual inspections to plan future maintenance and repairs.Hard Skills
