Description We are in the process of expanding our team in Auburn, California, and are currently seeking an Accounting Clerk for a contract to hire employment opportunity. The role functions within the service industry and entails working on-site to support our financial operations. The successful candidate will be instrumental in conducting critical tasks such as account reconciliation, data entry, and invoice processing.Responsibilities: Execute check runs, manage mail, and handle mailing duties Maintain balance statements and reconcile with accounts payable, ensuring follow-up with vendors as necessary Input deposits into the Sage 100 system for accounts receivable Perform accounts payable data entry in Sage 100 Ensure accurate and efficient scanning of relevant documents Manage filing duties to keep records organized and accessible Monitor customer account activity and execute appropriate actions as required Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently Maintain accurate customer credit records Resolve customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Requirements Proven experience as an Accounting Clerk or in a similar role within the Service industry Thorough understanding and proficiency in Account Reconciliation Expertise in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Familiarity with Billing and Invoice Processing procedures Proficiency in Data Entry operations Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for maintaining and creating financial reports Experience in working with Oracle-based financial systems Proficiency in QuickBooks for managing and processing financial transactions Familiarity with SAP for managing business operations and customer relations Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial tasks Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Good organization and time management abilities Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
