Overview:

The Park-Wide Facilities Maintenance Process Manager reports directly to the Assistant Director of Engineering/ Facilities. This is a full-time, year-round, salaried, FLSA-exempt position located in the Mammoth Hot Springs area of Yellowstone National Park.

Responsibilities

The PW Facilities Maintenance Process Manager is responsible for:

1. Administrative project management functions for facility maintenance projects.

2. Developing and documenting facilities maintenance workflow processes.

3. Review, organize, and communicate the analysis of digital data.

4. Managing the intake, analysis, reporting, and documentation of calls for service to the facilities division.

5. Coordinating and supporting park-wide trade personnel and activities to effectively provide physical and technical support to location maintenance managers.

6. Assist with the development of standardized reports for performance management, work programs, and facilities maintenance activities.

7. Reviewing, analyzing, reporting and collaborating with engineering department staff to establish and document continuous improvement processes including specific CMMS functions.

8. Assist in the development and control of operating and capital budgets.

9. Develop and maintain written operating procedures and schedules.

10. Assist in the development of facility maintenance, facility repair, and facility operations best practices and technologies across the facilities maintenance division.

11. Providing general administrative functions related to the facilities division of the engineering department.

12. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

The PW Facilities Maintenance Process Manager must:

1. Be an energetic self-starter with strong leadership skills.

2. Have a minimum three (3) years of administrative management experience.

3. Have experience with at least one CMMS software system.

4. Possess strong technical writing skills and a talent for expressing complex concepts in easily understandable and concise language.

5. Be knowledgeable of OSHA standards applicable to facility maintenance and operation.

6. Have well-developed organizational skills.

7. Be able to effectively communicate with other departments, NPS staff and service contractors.

8. Must be proficient with the Microsoft Office software suite.

Physical Requirements

The PW Facilities Maintenance Process Manager must:

1. Be capable of lifting and moving objects weighing up to 25 pounds.

2. Be able to walk long distances over uneven terrain and climb stairs and ladders in all types of weather conditions.

3. Be able to sit, stand, bend, and kneel, for long periods of time as required.

4. Be at least 21 years of age and possess a current, valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.

The PW Facilities Maintenance Process Manager is authorized and expected to:

  • Stop unsafe work practices whenever observed.

  • Stop work practices which have the potential to violate environmental laws and regulations whenever observed.
