Tharp Cabinet Company- Loveland Colorado
is seeking a highly motivated Team Member to join our Crew!
We are the largest Custom Cabinet Manufacturer in Northern Colorado and are planning to go even larger with the recent purchase of our new facilities (380 W 37th St Loveland CO 80538). This move will allow for a larger output volume, and we need a capable finish engineer to ensure we can keep up with new demand!
Your Mission:
Deliver high quality, aesthetically pleasing product on time with strong communication. Drive new finish development and ensure consistent practices are executed by all Finishers.
Core responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Maintaining a safe work environment- Be aware of safety hazards and unsafe work behaviors; resolve and escalate appropriately.
Maintaining floor presence- The Finish Engineer is considered a first responder on department related issues. The Finish Engineer must maintain an accessible presence on the department floor at all times.
Support Leads-Maintaining product flow- It is the Leads responsibility to manage product flow according to Tharp Production guidelines to ensure optimal Quality and Delivery. Your support will be vital to daily success.
Maintaining equipment- Finish Engineers are to perform daily first article inspection on each piece of equipment within the first hour of operation. If issues are identified, create Maintenance Work Order and provide support.
Ensure Product Quality- Product Quality is managed through first article inspections, random sample inspections and dry mill tests are to be performed daily. The Finish Engineer is responsible for stopping the production of the defective product, root causing the issue and addressing or escalating the issue for corrective measures.
Facilitate Training Program- The Finish Engineer will ensure that all operators are certified or trained toward certification while in department according to Tharp Work Instructions. The Finish Engineer must direct training measures and verify certification upon training completion.
Work Instruction Integrity- A work instruction must exist for every major function within the department. It is the Finish Engineer who creates and maintains all Finish Work Instructions.
Drive Process Improvement- Evaluate and identify process deficiencies and product opportunities. Work with Continuous Improvement Team to drive change with buy-in.
Monitor Adherence to Tharp Policies- The Finish Engineer is a key department leader that ensures adherence to Tharp Policies. Any violation observed needs to be immediately reported to the appropriate manager.
