The Human Resource Generalist works closely with financial aid and all departments to ensure seamless student employment including budget management, adequate training and evaluation of the program. Also responsible for employee benefit administration including orientation and on-boarding. This position shares responsibility of the recruitment and selection process including posting positions, arranging interviews, and entering the new employee into the system. This position provides customer service and leadership for a variety of activities and initiatives within the function and organization-wide as well as support to the Human Resources team.

Education/Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong knowledge of principles and practices of human resource management (ADA, FMLA, FLSA, Title VII)
- Very effective oral and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical ability as evidenced by high level of skill on software such as Excel
- Demonstrated ability to access, organize, analyze and present data to support HR Department
- Ability to represent Sheridan College in a professional manner

Experience
- Human Resource Experience preferred
- Professional Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred
