Essential Job Functions
-Perform all duties as required to operate the milling process in a safe and efficient manner.
-Communicate any process problems that may occur to the fellow mill operators and participate in resolving
these problems. If a problem cannot be resolved, make the necessary phone calls.
-Complete the necessary paperwork required in the record keeping of production.
-Maintain designated sanitary schedule to QRI standards.
-Perform all tasks that are assigned during operational and non-operational times by the Plant Manager.
SFSF (Safe Feed Safe Food) Compliance
-SFSF compliance certifies that QRIs food safety and quality management system complies with feed safety
regulations. In turn, our customers are assured that the product has been produced, processed, prepared and
handled according to the highest possible standards.
All employees are required to comply with QRIs feed safety program and polices, including but not limited to:
-Adhere to and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
-Keep all work areas clean.
-Attend required training to gain knowledge and understanding of the feed safety program.
-Articulate the importance of SFSF while performing your daily job duties.
-Represent self and QRI through personal appearance. Employees must be well groomed and dressed in clean,
neat, safe, and suitable clothing for his/her job per SFSF and QRI policy.
Qualifications - Technical
-High school diploma or equivalent
-Must possess the ability to communicate both verbally and written
-Must have the ability to work well with others creating a team like atmosphere
-Must be dependable and self-motivated
Physical
-Ability to frequently bend, squat, climb, sit, stand, walk, handle objects, reach above shoulder level, use fine
finger movements and push/pull
-Ability to occasionally kneel
-Ability to frequently carry/lift light to heavy loads of up to 50 lbs
Working Conditions
-Exposed to excessive noise
-Works around moving machinery
-Exposed to changes in temperature
-Exposed to dust, fumes and gases
-Drives motorized equipment
-Work on or around high structures
-Occasionally works in confined quarters
