Assists in providing a positive physical, social, and psychological environment. Follows all Center policies and procedures. The Temporary Nursing Assistant will only provide services for which they have received training and competency testing.Requirements of the position:Required Education and ExperienceSuccessful completion of 16 Hour Temporary Nursing Assistant program and attestation of competency in the following areas: communication/interpersonal skills, infection control, safety/emergency procedures including the Heimlich Maneuver, promoting resident independence and respecting resident rights.

Successful demonstration of competency of all applicable skills on the Student Nurse Aide Skills Checklist (F-02643)

Able to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with residents/patients, families, community members, volunteers and other center staff

Possess special interest in, and a positive attitude about, working with long-term care residents/patients and the elderly

Able to read, write, speak and understand English

Meets all health requirements, as required by law

Demonstrates basic computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn company applications

Preferred Education and ExperienceExperience in a fast-paced environment

Previous post-acute care experience preferred
