We are seeking a Transportation Clerk to work M-F from 9am-5:30pm
This position would go through the end of the year and possibly longer
$20-21hr
Responsibilities:
Drivers – You are to contact all drivers to insure their routes are in the right sequence to optimize their deliveries before you move on to calling the patients for their delivery windows.
Patients – You are to contact all patients in the morning to provide them with their time window for delivery. If you reach a VM you are to leave a message and note this on the manifest (time stamp) and return a call to them that afternoon to try and contact a physical person if you need to once again leave a VM you will note that second attempt (time stamp) on the manifest and move on.
Courier Deliveries – All patients delivered via courier will be called the next day to check in and see how the delivery went and if there were any issues. If issues are brought up you are to note them on a running spreadsheet and email that at the end of each day to your Supervisors for review.
Pick Lists – You are to maintain a Daily Check List to track all outstanding orders needing to be selected. You are to note each order as it is turned in from the Warehouse to insure accuracy and that nothing is missed.
Bill of Ladings – You are to insure all paperwork is put in the correct packet/bin for the driver assigned to the route. This needs to include all paperwork needed for this route including the RGA’s needed to be retrieved and their Manifest.
Manifests – You are to make sure every driver has the most recent copy of their manifest included in their packets. This is to cover both Local and Cross Dock drivers. You will be responsible to make sure they receive updated copies before you leave for the day to insure accuracy.
Means of Transport – You are to insure all coding is correct in SAP for Fleet, Courier, and UPS orders
Freight Cost – You are to make sure all Courier Freight charges are entered into SAP as soon as we get them from the courier to insure proper tracking.
Customer Notifications – You are to make sure all notations needed in SAP are done after contacting patients.
Teamwork – You are to assist with the other Transportation Clerks as needed. If they are caught up then you are to check in with your Routers to see if they need assistance.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualification:
High School/GED education required
Knowledge of local, state and federal DOT/FMCSR rules required
Minimum of 1 years of transportation administration/clerk experience required, preferably in a warehouse/distribution environment
Ability to perform clerical and administrative duties with speed and accuracy under limited supervision
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.,)
Self-starter with the ability to multi-task projects
Ability to answer a heavy volume of phone calls from both internal and external customers
Must be a detail-orientated problem solver
Experience with an Automatic On-Board Recording Device preferred (ELD such as XATA and OmniTRACS)
