SUMMARY
Produce machined parts utilizing Citizen swiss lathes, Haas milling machines, manual mills and lathes while maintaining quality and safety standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain detailed knowledge of current/future standard operating procedures (SOP's), 5S program and safety procedures, and related follow through
Measure dimensions of finished workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures.
Remove and replace dull cutting tools.
Mount, install align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and workpieces on machines, using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
Listen to machines during operation to detect sounds such as those made by dull cutting tools or excessive vibration and adjust machines to compensate for problems.
Adjust machine feed and speed, change cutting tools, or adjust machine controls when automatic programming is faulty or if machine malfunctions.
Stop machines to remove finished workpieces or to change tooling, setup, or workpiece placement, according to required machining sequences.
Lift workpieces to machines manually or with hoists or cranes.
Complete daily paperwork and return to appropriate supervisor as directed.
Achieve expected results by consistently meeting production quotas.
Maintain quality standards that achieve internal quality goals and meet all customer expectations.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following all safety guidelines when handling sharp cutting tools/objects
Role Model a positive attitude and good work ethic, be available for employees you supervise with behavior and decisions consistent with Field Logic's policies and procedures
Any other duties and/or responsibilities assigned by division manager
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Two year CNC tech school certificate required
2+ years experience preferred
Able to set-up, adjust, program and troubleshoot Citizen Swiss machines
Mechanically inclined
Basic math to intermediate (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
Reading comprehension and writing skills
Possess good communication, reasoning, and problem-solving skills
Wear safety glasses for 8+ hours per shift
Stand for 8-12 hours while working
Utilize fine and gross motor skills with repetitive movement of arms, wrists, hands and fingers
Lift 25-50lbs overhead, push and pull objects up to 75lbs (repetitive at times)
Other strenuous physical activity
