Pasture and Plenty: Pastry Chef / Baking Production Lead & Apprentice Positions
Pasture and Plenty is a local food business that makes high quality, convenient and craft made foods. We feed our community in a variety of ways; with a chef-prepared meal kit business, restaurant and deli, classes and event services. We source as much as we can from as close as we can and celebrate local farmers and producers in our work.
We are growing and looking for great people to join us in the fun. We are hiring 2 positions in pastry! Care about seasonal pastry and know how to laminate, meringue, cream, proof and curd with the best of them? Inspired by the quest for the perfect bite and wake up thinking about how to best use all the rhubarb, right now!? We are looking for you.
Pastry chef/ baking production lead: Full time (32 hours+). 2+ years experience and/or culinary/pastry degree required.
Pastry/baking apprentice: Part time (20-30 hours), with the option to expand to full time. Enthusiasm to learn and strong work ethic required.
Hours are flexible, within the framework of the business needs, 6am to 2pm Monday-Friday, or Tuesday-Saturday. We produce cookies, morning pastries, seasonal desserts, savory baked goods for our bakery case and to enjoy or bake from the freezer.
Lead position: $15+/hour DOE
Apprentice position:$13+/hour DOE
