Phillips-Medisize, a Molex Company, is seeking a Director of Sales, Commercial Markets to Serve as the subject matter expert within Molex / Phillips Medisize Commercial Division Business Unit and lead strategic efforts to grow sales and profits in Commercial market or technology through the process of assessment, intelligence gathering, generating sales/leads and following up on sales efforts.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide direction and leadership to business development managers to attain corporate sales and profit growth goals
  • Drive the development of a combined mechanical/electronic growth strategy in the Commercial business, based upon leveraging business opportunities across all Molex product divisions

  • Identify opportunities that exist within Molex to drive a broader solutions focus, leveraging the Specialty Commercial resources and capabilities

  • Identify opportunities that exist within the Specialty Commercial business to drive a broader solutions focus, leveraging other Molex resources and capabilities

  • Oversee the allocation of new and existing Specialty Commercial business (customers, markets and capabilities) in to, and out of, the Specialty Commercial business to maximize Molex’ capabilities and value creation

Position Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • BS degree in business marketing or engineering or equivalent experience and education

  • Experience developing new customers, markets and technologies for Contract manufacturing business
  • Strong technical background (engineering services, injection molding and/or other related technologies)

  • 10+ experience leading people

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • Organizational skills to anticipate, plan, prioritize and self-monitor workload
  • Effective written and oral communication skills that demonstrate the ability to express ideas, exchange information clearly and concisely, and deliver concise and effective presentations to customers and Molex personnel

  • Presentation Skills to convey business and technical details to a broad range of audiences
