The machine assistant will assist the machine operator with: set up, operation, or tend paper goods machines that perform a variety of functions, such as converting, sawing, corrugating, banding, wrapping, boxing, stitching, forming, or sealing paper or paperboard sheets into products. The machine assistant is also responsible for operating paper converting machines and equipment to meet the production goal established for each machine in a safe way complying with all company safety policies and ensuring that all products manufactured meet customer specifications and achieve superior quality and performance standards.
Responsibilities Include:
1.Responsible for set-up, operation, and adjustment of paper machine equipment to achieve established production quota.
2.Write in a log book quality control, production and/or maintenance issues information and or communications related to the operation and production of the machine. 3.Understand and apply customer specifications to the operation of the machine to assure finished goods comply with customer requirements.
4.Reads and comprehends production schedule, work orders, manuals, and performance specifications, to establish proper operation of the equipment.
5.Ensure finished goods from the assigned machine meet the specifications established by Quality Control and the Production Department.
6.Obey the housekeeping rules established by the Company and maintain their respective work area clean of obstacles, debris and loose material.
7.Perform routine inspection of condition of the equipment and report to the Supervisor or the Maintenance department
Shift: 8 & 12 hour, rotating 2-2-3
12-hour shifts (2-2-3) 6:30am - 6:30pm | 6:30pm - 6:30am
8-hour shifts (3-2-1) 6:30am 2:30pm | 2:30pm 10:30pm | 10:30pm 6:30am
