ROLE SUMMARY

As a member of ProShip's marketing team, the Brand and Communications Manager will assume a collaborative role in building and executing our brand and communications strategy across different platforms, from events and branded content to social media, partnerships and online advertising. This position will play an active role in shaping the brand while measuring the effectiveness and impact of our creative and messaging against our competitors and brand awareness in our space. You will be actively building the business, developing creative ideas, messaging and graphics, copywriting and managing external PR partnerships. The position will report to the Director of Marketing and interface with functional leaders and peers in Marketing, Sales, Product, Business Operations, and external vendors when needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, implement and manage a strong brand strategy, positioning ProShip as the thought leader in the transportation management software market, as well as raising brand awareness, strengthening the brand, and promoting long-lasting customer relationships.
  • Build a strong user experience to ensure a second-to-none customer journey from the initial website visit to final purchase, retention and advocacy.
  • Coordinate and develop ideas and concepts for web, email, advertising, social media, and partner and customer projects to deliver creative that reflects and expands the principals and standards of the ProShip brand and vision.
  • Review all brand creative for consistency, functionality and brand standards, managing workflow to ensure on-time delivery of all design projects.
  • Own and lead go-to-market strategies and content for product launches and campaigns.
  • Develop and review internal and external communications to ensure content and messaging are appropriate and effective.
  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of design projects through engagement and brand awareness.
  • Build and manage relationships with external vendors and freelance designers as needed.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in design, marketing, communications, business or equivalent
  • 5+ years of prior B2B brand strategy and external communication experience in the enterprise software space
  • Ability to drive brand and communication strategy as well as "roll up your sleeves" and execute
  • Detail-oriented with very high-quality standards and principles regarding brand integrity
  • Strong media relations experience and creative development acumen, with the ability to create traditional and digital media campaigns that produce coverage and positive business impact
  • Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills to express messages concisely and to effectively interface with all stakeholders
  • An excellent visual, layout and typographic sensibility
  • Strong project and time management skills to adhere to project timelines and meet changing priorities
  • Organized and self-motivated with ability to define goals and prioritize work
  • Comfortable with the balance of day-to-day tactics and long-term strategy
  • Interest in constantly keeping up to date on the latest trends, best practices and competitive activity
  • Knowledge of full Adobe and Microsoft Office Suites
