Manpower is excited to announce that we are now recruiting a handyman/woman to join our team! Ideal candidates are reliable problem solvers that can handle a range of projects and execute on time and under budget. Ideal candidates will be responsible for upkeep and repair duties for a list of residential and commercial properties. This includes maintaining green spaces, identifying the need for repairs on the exterior and interior of buildings, some painting, completing minor maintenance requests and managing subcontractors when necessary.To be effective in this position, you will be skilled and hard-working with outstanding, problem-solving abilities. You will have skillful hands, good physical stamina, strong technical knowledge and have your own tools and transportation to move among multiple properties.Responsibilities:
Maintain the cleanliness of outside spaces such as parking lots, driveways, sidewalks, landscaping, and building exterior.
Seasonal power washing, insect spraying and mulching.
Regularly check multiple buildings to identify issues with litter and cleanliness, mechanical failure or breakdowns.
Detect and report the need for maintenance repairs over time.
Perform basic tasks including painting, wall/ceiling/floor repair and cleaning
Manage ongoing maintenance repairs.
Installation of electrical switches
Repair or replace plumbing and lighting fixtures when necessary
Respond to ongoing maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent qualification required.
A minimum of 2 years working experience in a similar role.
Solid experience repairing drywall, painting, performing general repair and maintenance duties.
Experience with plumbing and electrical systems.
Ability to work with hardware tools and power equipment.
Extremely organized with good communication skills.
Detail-orientated with an aptitude for problem-solving.
Personal/reliable transportation
Must have and utilize their own tools
