The Lottery Commission currently has a vacancy for a Lottery Marketing Specialist. Recruitment is ongoing and interviews may be scheduled at any time. This advertisement may close without notice, so be sure to apply as soon as possible to ensure consideration for this vacancy.

Department of Revenue/ West Virginia Lottery/ Marketing, Kanawha County - Directly responsible for assisting in oversight of new draw game projects and promotions for the vendor-run lottery gaming system and associated peripherals. Assists in system and peripherals testing of game changes and updates to assure quality and continued state revenue production. Assists the product development unit with the Instant Ticket Life Cycle including new game design, scheduling, orders, game performance evaluation, and inventory. Assists marketing and other unit with promotions, projects, and other tasks as necessary. Knowledge of mathematics, specifically algebra. Knowledge of Microsoft office products, databases, and design software tools, with emphasis on Excel and Illustrator. Basic knowledge of system interfaces. Ability to organize large amounts of data into usable and accessible information and prioritize projects. Ability to document and improve data and work flows as well as write for internal and external communications. Ability to review data and assist in creating and developing potential games and promotions. Knowledge of basic printing techniques.

Minimum Qualifications

Training: Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university.

Substitution: Experience as described below may substitute for the required training on a year-for-year basis.

Experience: Two years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in statistics, mathematics, public relations, journalism, communications, advertising, marketing, sales, or closely related field.

Special Requirement: Must have a valid driver's license.
