Pomona Pet Services is a small boarding and doggie daycare center looking to add the right person to our team! Candidate must have experience working with dogs, great customer service skills, attention to detail, strong work ethic, and a great love for dogs and their emotional and physical well-being along with some mad cleaning skills. General knowledge of dog breeds, behaviors, body language, emotional and physical health is needed.
Must be over 18, able to lift up to 50 lbs, available to work the required shifts, able to work indoors and outdoors during all seasons, have a valid Drivers License and reliable, insured transportation, and pass drug test and pass a criminal background check.
We are looking for a long-term employee. Experience with dogs is needed, and we will train on the specifics. There are opportunities for upward advancement in position and pay and continuing education. Holiday, P.M. and weekend shift pay rate is time and half. We also give yearly Performance Bonuses, plus we are a fun group!
Hours are M-F 7:30 a.m.-12:00 (closed between Noon and 2:00) 2:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Hours and days vary week to week, depending on reservations.
Minimum of 40 hours per week.
Must be available to work some evenings from 8:00-9:30 and Holidays, rotating Saturdays and/or Sundays in 2-3 hour shifts.
Position duties include, but are not limited to: supervising and actively engaging with dogs in groups of different sizes during open play, CLEANING (lots and lots of cleaning :-) assisting the manager in daily operations, maintaining accurate records, feeding, watering, caring for the dogs' every need and upkeep of their environment, leading enrichment activities (after probationary period and learning the ropes) keeping the dogs safe at all times and more cleaning. This is a very rewarding career, and it is A LOT of work.
