Firefly is a growing company seeking a Network Technician to assist with the administration of our current and expanding client portfolio. You will be responsible for setting up the various hardware and software components of networks of all sizes, as well as troubleshooting and resolving any issues along the way.
To be a successful Network Technician, you should have an excellent ability to solve problems using your in-depth understanding of network technologies. The top candidate will also be a strong team player, able to collaborate with other members of the team to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Responsibilities:
Installing network hardware components and cables.
Configuring software applications.
Identifying and eliminating bottlenecks to ensure long-term network efficiency.
Troubleshooting and resolving issues with a variety of different networks.
Prioritizing network security using multiple different technologies.
Collaborating with other members of the IT team and management.
Performing necessary upgrades to the network infrastructure.
Documenting client infrastructure
Requirements:
Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
Professional IT accreditation (Microsoft, CompTIA).
5+ years experience in a similar role.
Significant experience with Windows Server and desktop operating systems ranging from Windows 7/Server 2008 to Windows 10/Server 2019.
Experience configuring and managing network firewalls and switches.
Experience with image backup software.
Office 365 administration experience.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Aptitude for customer support.
