Network Administrator Position Summary

Key Methods, one of the premier IT Support companies in North Central Washington, is currently seeking a Professional, Experienced, Consultative Network Administrator to provide hands-on, mid to advanced-level network technology support services at small to mid-sized clients.

You will be a critical member of a team working to solve real customer pain points in their network. This isn't your normal position where you may be relegated to one small piece of the company's technology, or a project that doesn't matter. Instead, you will be instrumental and have the chance to work in many areas of our client’s networks.

What is the job all about:

You are an IT Infrastructure generalist who can work on anything from desktop to a firewall.

You are willing to crawl under a desk and fix a PC but can also sit and write an Annual Technology Plan and IT Budget.

You are a customer service fanatic and love building strong client relationships.

You are personable, presentable, articulate and can communicate with people at all levels, including business owners and C level staff.

You are organized, detailed orientated and adaptable.

You like managing your own set of clients and your own schedule. You can successfully juggle scheduled client visits, random client requests for help and IT projects, all while keeping track of your time and making sure your clients documentation is up to date.

You are not a cowboy. You can learn, implement and contribute to Key Methods best practices in client engagement, project management and technology choices.

You love to learn new technology and share your learning with others in Knowledge Base Articles and brown bag sessions.

What you should bring to us:

Technical Qualifications and Responsibilities:

Experience configuring and migrating Windows Server 2012 and 2016 infrastructures

Competency to configure, upgrade and maintain client infrastructure hardware and software

Ability to self-schedule and prioritize to meet client demands and deadlines

Manage network security toolsfirewall, anti-virus and intrusion detection systems

Understand proper network design and TCP/IP routing

Capability to understand monitoring logs and rectify problem events

Assess and repair or recover from hardware or software failures

Monitor network performance to optimize availability and efficiency

Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning

Experience with Microsoft Exchange and SQL administration is a bonus

Personal Skills:

Desire to learn and grow, both independently and through mentorship

Possess strong, logical, troubleshooting skills

Reliable, on-time, personable, and customer-focused

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Provide documentation for both work completed and device configurations

Ability to adhere to company procedures, processes and policies

Capacity to thrive and succeed in fast-paced, dynamic business environment

Experience:

3+ years of experience as a Network Administrator

Experience tracking work in a ticketing system (ConnectWise preferred)

Experience with Remote Management Tools (LabTech preferred)

Experience working at a VAR or MSP is a plus

Certifications and degrees are great, but aren't required with solid references

Requirements:

Work full-time from our Wenatchee location

Participate in our 24/7 on-call rotation

Ability to work outside of normal business hours on occasion
