This recruitment is for one full-time, permanent, Office Assistant 3 position for the Okanogan Highlands Area located in Okanogan County, Washington. The duty station for this position is Pearrygin Lake State Park.

DUTIES:

Under the general supervision of the Area Manager for the Okanogan Highlands Area, this position independently performs a variety of routine and complex clerical tasks in support of the Area Manager, ensuring that administrative deadlines and expectations are met. This position handles sensitive information and is key in assisting with the coordination and communication of the day-to-day Area operations.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Process financial records and keep expenditure reports up to date and accurate for area.

Serve as the primary point of contact (in person, phone, email) during regular business hours.

Process incoming/outgoing mail and multiple email accounts, watch for action items and carryout tasks within your delegated area of operation, and notify others of action items.

Respond to inquiries from Parks staff, partnership groups, other agencies, and the public within your area of knowledge.

Maintain knowledge of park rules, regulations, and policies to ensure accurate sharing of information.

Review written documents for accuracy and completeness following proper rules of grammar and agency/state correspondence guidelines.

Collect, compile and report regular park data per agency policies and procedures.

Maintain and update area desk manuals and plans.

Manage area records within Agency guidelines and records retention requirements.

Maintain area inventories as directed; order, receive and maintain supplies.

Assist with review and processing of confidential records for Area Manager.

Maintain understanding of CAMIS system hardware and software.

Ensure the efficiency of reservation system operation by guiding park's staff and serving as a resource for CAMIS procedures.

Troubleshoot CAMIS computer issues and serve as the contact with CAMIS technical support and agency CAMIS lead during regular business hours.

Process Special Activity Permits per Agency policy and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

High School graduation or equivalent.

Two (2) years of clerical experience.

A valid driver's license.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge of state government, rules and regulations.

Knowledge of State Parks' rules and regulations.

Experience with State Parks' reservation and campground reservation system CAMIS.

Experience in retail sales and inventory, ordering and procurement.

UNIFORM INFORMATION:

All Office Assistant 3's are required to wear a uniform. A complete and properly worn uniform helps establish the professional identity of an Office Assistant and promotes respect as a Washington State Parks employee. Office Assistant 3's will receive 4 shirts within the first year (2 shirts per calendar year after the first year) and 1 jacket every 5 years.

COMPENSATION:

Effective July 1st, 2019 the pay range for this position will increase to a Range 34 and be $2,658 - $3,432 monthly.
