Make a positive impact for animals! Wenatchee Valley Humane Society is a private non-profit that has been caring for and adopting out animals for over 50 years. We are looking for someone who is dedicated to helping animals heal from past experiences and find forever homes. Our Animal Care Technicians provide the daily care for our shelter animals, and help adopters find the right pets for their home. If you are ready to make an impact, come join our team!
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Enjoy making pets and people happy
Be a team player, follow directions and maintain a positive attitude
Present yourself well to the public
High school diploma or equivalent
Demonstrate a positive rapport with animals. Experience with animal behavior is a plus
Basic computer skills and ability to handle money
Must pass drug screening test
Able to safely lift and carry 75 pounds.
Minimum 18 years old
Must be available to work holidays and weekends
Retail experience is a plus
RESPONSIBILITIES
Animal Care
Be an enthusiastic team member helping customers, pets, staff and volunteers
Front office required
Provide quality animal care to give humane protection and treatment of animals
Feed and exercise animals
Clean and disinfect cages, kennels, and food dishes to meet written standards
Fill out reports accurately, completely, and on time
Maintain a clean, safe environment for people and pets
Some outside work may be required
