The Wenatchee Corporate Office is looking to find a qualified, candidate to fill a position as a Payroll Specialist. This position is not eligible for relocation, preferred candidates will be local to the Wenatchee area.
The Wenatchee Corporate Office is located in the heart of downtown Wenatchee and employs roughly 45 employees at that location. The Wenatchee office provides accounting, payroll and other financial support to the regional offices on the Mainland and Hawaii.
Position Summary The Payroll Specialist assists the Payroll Manager and Sr. Payroll Specialist in providing payroll support to the department. The primary responsibility is to compile, record and process accurately, employee time and payroll data across all companies.

Work Schedule This is a Full-Time position, approximately 8 hours per day from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with 1 hour lunch break; 5 days/week, Monday through Friday, may be required to work overtime due to special projects.
Essential Functions:
Review time sheets and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies.
Process paperwork for new employees and enter employee information into the payroll system accurately.
Verify attendance, hours worked, and pay adjustments, and post information onto designated records.
Compute wages and deductions, and enter data into payroll system.
Record employee information, such as exemptions, transfers, and resignations, to maintain and update payroll records.
Process and issue employee paychecks and electronic paystubs
Compile employee time, production, and payroll data from time sheets and other records.
Issue and record adjustments to pay related to previous errors or retroactive increases.
Generate Verification of Employment forms for banks/mortgage companies.
Scan and attach employee documents to employee files in Vista.
Correspond via email and telephone with employees regarding payroll issues.
Meet daily and weekly time-sensitive deadlines.
Take on new projects as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Two or Four year accounting degree preferred but not required
Prior payroll experience is preferred
Union payroll experience is preferred
Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) is required
