Position Qualifications, Skills and Abilities:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to multi-task and adjust priorities based on workload
Work in a highly creative environment and solve new problems everyday
Strong knowledge of 2018 SQL Server database administration and best practices
Able to obtain, understand, and interpret performance data
Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral
Incident management and response, postmortem follow-ups/root cause analysis
Ability to organize, plan, and work independently and in a team environment
Advanced knowledge of T-SQL programming langued for querying data and database administration
Knowledge of building and administrating SQL Server 2012, 2014, and 2017
Knowledge of ETL and data integration techniques and technologies. Experience with MS SQL Server Suite of tools such as SQL Server Management Studio and MS Visual Studio BI tools (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Power BI, etc.)
Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO) using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools
Knowledge of PowerShell scripting for automation of administration tasks preferred
Excellent knowledge of SQL database/instance tuning, optimizing complex SQL statements for best possible performance.
Proven leadership skills and ability to manage instances with multiple operation system platforms
Experience:
In depth experience with database installation, configuration, and upgrade
3+ years of MS SQL Server Administration experience required
Table space management of SQL databases
5+ years of SQL database administration experience
