Forklift Operator(Material Handler)

To be successful in this position, a person must perform the job duties and responsibilities listed below while maintaining a positive solution oriented working relationship with coworkers, vendors and customers. The job requires an organized time manager with an ability to communicate verbally and in writing, work under minimal supervision, in a fast pace environment. This position requires a high skill level in safely operating a forklift and must provide a high level of customer service to internal and external customers.

Essential Duties:

Operates forklift, performing duties for internal and external customers as well as vendors

Perform receiving functions of Unloading, Counting and Inspecting incoming materials

Identify and report inventory discrepancies

Organize and maintain inventory

Perform inventory Cycle Counts

Stock production area with materials

Work with other departments to resolve material issues

Demonstrate Safety first work ethic

Accept and support continuous improvement

Perform Forklift safety inspections

Prompt follow up on open items

Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications:

High School diploma2+ years experience operating a forklift requiredValid driver's license with a clean vehicle driving recordAbility to perform basic math, read a tape measure, use computer and lift heavy itemsGeneral understanding of computers, and printersFriendly, personable and effective verbal and written communication skillsCapable of operating a variety of hand and power tools with good manual dexterity Knowledge and ability to maintain all safety requirementsBenefits Offered: Employer paid benefit package (Medical, Dental, Vision & Life)
