JOB DESCRIPTION: Family owned 5-star bed and breakfast seeking cleaner/ family caretaker able to care for our facility with integrity and attention to detail. Looking for capable, motivated person to be head cleaner for the retreat and serve as a life-assistant for our adult family who will be their permanent lodging guests including cooking meals, pet care, and cleaning. Specific tasks include:
Cleaning: Extreme attention to detail. Must be fast-paced and in good health to handle the size of property, many stairs, and an entire retreat turnover under pressure of a check-in deadline. Occasional checking in guests and general guest help while on shift. Ability to work a computer in a pinch mandatory.
Gardening/Ground keeping: General maintenance of grounds (weeding, weed-whacking, mowing, shoveling snow, season dependent), gardening (planting veggies, spreading mulch, weeding, harvesting, preserving). Setup and tear down after group functions.
Breakfast Supervisor: Setting up buffet breakfast for self-service, inn food shopping, Cookinggreat room/kitchen clean up, mingling and overseeing guests morning needs, overall hospitality concierge, handling check outs, tours and questions. Occasional problem resolution, light errands.
Life-assistant: Overall attention to familys needs when they are home. Provide tea and coffee in the morning and cook healthy meals or meal prep. Clean family apartment upon request. Taking care of family pets when they are away from home.
REQUIREMENTS:
-Applicant should be comfortable with guest interaction.
-Must have a valid drivers license.
-Basic cooking skills
-Prior housekeeping experience preferred but not mandatory.
-Ideal candidate is a fast paced, hardworking, self-motivated, people serson who is calm in stressful situations.
-Applicant must be both a great team player as well as work efficiently and productively alone while managing themselves (ie: see what needs to be done and go after it!).
-An outgoing personality is mandatory as we live and breathe customer service while we do our jobs Must be able to determine the neatness, accuracy and thoroughness of the work assigned.
PAYMENT:
Inquire about live-in options. Pay based off of experience and whether onsite housing is necessary
Housing, utilities, and stipend of $900/month to start or $11/hr to start
HOURS:
Position has fluctuating hours including early mornings, late nights, and weekends.
4-6 hours/day
3-6 days a week pending bookings for Sandpoint-based lodging facility
START DATE:
Full-time position will open September 15, 2019. This position will favor an applicant who is willing to commit to part-time work/training for at least one month prior to being accepted into a full-time position. Part-time position will open August 1, 2019.
