JOB DESCRIPTION: Assistant Innkeeper position available at a high end, eclectic lodging villa located only one mile from downtown Sandpoint, Idaho. Busy Sandpoint executive seeks a reliable, creative, witty, big picture thinker who loves to knock out lists and can employ their brain for admin minutiae, business tasks, and marketing projects. This is an umbrella position to float (covering at a baseline) other positions at the retreat and requires the ability to multitask and be flexible. Due to cross-over of position coverage, prospect must be happy and able to fill in the gaps when and where needed, embrace flexibility, delight in diversity of tasks, and be reactive (and unruffled) in an ever-changing needs environment.Tasks include:

-Updating website

-Posting on social media

-Writing emails that exhibit personality and culture in response to inquiries

-Handling sales calls and chumming bookings

-Wedding/event assistance

-Scheduling staff

-Resolving conflict in a professional, courteous, and "customer is king" manner

-Managing interns including coordinating their workload, housing, training

-Job includes cooking meals for family who lives on site and being mindful of their needs

REQUIREMENTS:

-Must have superb English skills (both written and verbal).

-Be able to think outside of the box being quick to deliver.

-Must be able to think on their feet, taking a project from start to finish by employing brains.

-Quickbooks, Wordpress, social media skills preferred.

-A keen ability to proficiently work the internet, employ social media and troubleshoot technology is important.

-Sales skills are a bonus but a positive attitude and a sense of urgency is mandatory.

-Ability to work with a flexible schedule, to be highly available

Position Perfect for:

PAYMENT:

Housing, utilities, and stipend of $1,100/month to start OR $24k salary to start.

HOURS:

Hours and schedule change pending reservations

Typical 40hrs/wk (including some weekend days)

Usual schedule times are 7:30-3:30, 11-7, and 1-9

Requires occasional early mornings (no earlier than 7Am) and late nights (no later than 10:30)

Start Date:

Full-time position will open December 1, 2019. This position will favor an applicant who is willing to commit to part-time work/training for at least one month prior to being accepted into a full-time position. Part-time position will open September 1, 2019. $12 training wage to start after a 2 hour working interviewlet's see what you can do!
