Human Resources/Vocational Rehab Administrative Assistant (Oak Harbor)

Location: Oak Harbor, WA

Pay: Dependent on Experience

Schedule: Full Time-Monday through Friday-8:00am to 4:00pm

Benefits: Medical, Sick, Paid Holidays, 401k after 6 months, Vacation after 1 year employment.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Vocational Services/HR Administrative (HR/VR) Assistant reports to the Executive Assistant and will be responsible for working with employees and other administrative staff providing accommodations, trainings, and strategic support for employees with disabilities. The HR/VR Assistant will also be responsible for initiating and maintaining contact with community agencies that support individuals with disabilities and veterans as well as outreach to government officials and agencies. High compliance, documentation, filing and reporting standards must be followed. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 Must be able to work with a variety of people in a team-oriented environment.

 Participate in recruitment efforts and new hire/orientation process

 Understands concept of initial and annual employee evaluations.

 Participate in Affirmative Action compliance.

 Provide independent living assistance (if/when needed).

 Administer & maintain effective record-keeping for numerous document types.

 Participate, coordinate and integrate numerous programs, functions and services for the Human Resources/Vocational Services department.

 Participate in/work with other projects and departments where needed and as time permits.

Requirements:

 High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor degree preferred.

 Five years equivalent office experience. HR/VR background preferred.

 Must be able to pass a background check as a condition of employment.

 Must be able to obtain and maintain coverage by company's vehicle insurance provider.
