Role:We seek an experienced software engineer that desires technical ownership of a strategically important application. You will join a new team building a product from scratch with open source tech and modern sensibilities. In this role youll be expected to collaborate closely with product managers to define and scope the work within your application. An understanding of product development practices including design and go-to-market strategy will help you succeed in this role. As a technical leader on the team you will be responsible for delivering features against a roadmap you have agency in defining, as well as mentoring (but not managing) more junior developers on the team. This position reports to our Engineering Director and will be primarily located in Seattle.Responsibilities:Collaborate with your team of engineers, designers and product folks to define refine product requirementsImplement and improve features based on user and engineering feedbackMentor more junior engineersCreate and implement improvements to our technology stack and processes.Qualifications:Advanced skills with Python/DjangoExperience with ElasticSearchFamiliarity with Javascript/ReactAdvanced SQL skills, bonus points for ETL experienceComfortable working in an agile environment that embraces CI/CDBachelor's degree (BA/BS) in a related field such as information or equivalent work experience.Typically has 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
