PURCHASING ADMINISTRATOR – Residential Construction
Division: Rush Residential
Reports To: Purchasing Manager

The Purchasing Administrator, along with the Purchasing Manager, will provide support to the Rush Residential team by working closely with field and staff members in the selection and management of construction trades, in our endeavor to deliver quality homes our customers love.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Establish and maintain purchasing and contract policies and procedures
Participate in design and implementation of transactional processes to ensure timely and accurate processing of budgets, orders, billings, and cost tracking
Build and maintain strong working relationships with construction trades
Participate in new community launches
Modify templates to create community specific budgets, price books, upgrade option assemblies, standards, specs, etc.
Maintain current and accurate files of trade pricing and assist in providing comprehensive cost analysis for building methods and materials
Work with trades daily for specialty item pricing and to collectively resolve discrepancies
Continually evaluate supplier and subcontractor performance, and evaluate new suppliers as needed
Interface with Accounting team in processing of payments
Help maintain and assemble upgrade and option lists with current pricing
Other related duties necessary within the Purchasing Department
Qualifications
Working knowledge of Sage Timberline or other construction software products is a plus
Working knowledge of Microsoft applications, specifically Outlook, Excel and Word
Ability to multitask and prioritize workload
Ability to analyze data to make educated decisions

Essential Qualifications
High School diploma, college, or equivalent relatable construction experience
Physical Requirements
The physical demands of this job are consistent with a clerical type position. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds on occasion.
