The Cheese Wizards crew is growing, and we are looking for a new team member to join the business.
We are the top rated food truck in town and currently stand at number six in the top ten highest rated restaurants in Seattle (that includes Brick-and-Mortar). We made national headlines last year, voted the #2 Grilled Cheese in the United States by the New York Post. We are a small team, we have a lot of fun, we pay generously, and we want an energetic and detail oriented person to help us reach number one.
To start, you'd be joining a crew of 2 or 3 seasoned hands on board our original food truck and helping serve our award winning grilled cheeses to the hungry masses. Lunch shifts are generally from 9 am till about 2:30 or 3 pm. The day begins with some light prep work at our kitchen in the Interbay neighborhood, followed by loading up, serving on board the truck, unloading, and clean up afterwards at the kitchen. To begin, we'd like to fill just two days a week, possibly three. Options are a little flexible for you to choose from: with the two potential shifts available being on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, or Saturday.
Weds: 9 am - 3 pm
Thurs: 9 am - 9:00 pm
Fri: 9 am - 9:00 pm
Sat: 11am - 9:00 pm
Occasionally we'll have special events and catering on the weekends or evenings. That's two days, plus some potential one-off events, and probably somewhere between 18 and 24 hours a week depending on your preferred schedule.
We want an energetic witch or wizard who can bring dependability, positive energy, lively conversation, and a strong work ethic to the business. We do load and unload heavy totes of sandwiches and pots of soup so we require the ability to occasionally pick up and carry loads up to 40 lbs. In addition to salary, tips tend to be pretty good, since we are awesome, and make a good product. The position starts at 13.50 an hour (plus those tips) but may be more depending on your food handling experience and familiarity with food truckery.

Extra points awarded for CDL-A or past commercial driving experience. We are planning on more trucks, and being a potential driver is a big plus. Not a deal breaker, but a big plus!
