The Center’s five scientific divisions collaborate to form a unique environment for conducting basic and applied science. Vaccine and Infectious Diseases Division (VIDD) works to eliminate or minimize the impact of globally significant infectious diseases. Within VIDD is the Statistical Center for HIV/AIDS Research & Prevention (SCHARP), which provides statistical support and data management to researchers worldwide in the fight against HIV/AIDS with active studies in the U.S., Africa, Latin America, Asia and Europe. Join us and make a difference!Statistical Center for HIV/AIDS Research and Prevention (SCHARP) at Fred Hutch is seeking Program Assistant I. Under general supervision, the Program Assistant assists the department supervisor in the implementation of policies and procedures, carries out routine special assignments or projects, and performs clerical responsibilities.May perform some or all of the following responsibilities:

Assist supervisor in the daily implementation of department/study policies and procedures.

Carry-out routine special assignments or projects.

Serve as a department/study liaison, referring non-routine issues to supervisor.

Gather information and produce reports on department/study performance as requested for supervisor's review.

Make updates to program policies and procedures manual.

Make accurate and complete postings to department/study records and maintain files and filing system in accordance with policies and procedures.

Perform clerical duties to include: drafting and word processing correspondence and reports, prooing materials, data entry, photocopying, scheduling appointments, organizing meetings.

Perform related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

High school graduation or GED.

Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program preferred.

Demonstrated ability with organizational skills, general office skills (i.e. typing, filing, phone skills), word processing/computer skills, and written and oral communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in programming, Public Health, or Clinical Trials research.
