Description:Kadlec has an exciting opportunity for an Operating Room Assistant to join our growing Operating Room team located in Richland, Washington!Shift Details: Per Diem. Variable shifts.Per diem caregivers help to fill holes in the schedule (scheduled in advance), as well as provide coverage for sick-calls, etc. At a snapshot, the primary need is weekday 8-hour day & evening shifts. May also include weekends/subject to change based on department needs.Qualifications:Minimum Requirements:

GED or High School Diploma from an accredited educational institution

Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS

Preferred Qualifications:

Healthcare experience

Housekeeping experience

Bi-lingual or multi-lingual skills

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:As an Operating Room Assistant you perform a variety of activities such as transporting patients, cleaning functions; assist in maintaining supplies and run errands. Provides work direction and training to other staff assigned to sterile processing. Assist professional nursing staff with daily care of patients by performing basic technical and non-technical tasks under direction and supervision.

Assist with transporting, lifting and/or positioning patients as needed.

Obtain paper work for caseload and maintains forms at par level-copies as needed.

Responsible for Operating Room turnover and daily termination (i.e. mops floor, removes linens and trash). Assures room is ready for the next case.

Maintain cleanliness of sinks, cabinets, storage areas, utility rooms, locker rooms and lounges (including defrosting refrigerator and cleaning microwave).

Perform the terminal cleaning functions at the end of the shift (i.e. cleaning furniture, fixtures and equipment).

Stock linen, suction supplies and anesthesia supplies in the Operating Rooms.

Maintain an adequate supply of brushes, caps, masks, shoe covers and other supplies in their designated areas; stocks core.
