Duties & Responsibilities -
Client Services
Conducts assessments for low-income families to determine eligibility for energy assistance; collects, documents and verifies information accurately; counsel clients regarding alternatives.
Energy Programs Used: Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), Avista Low Income Rate Assistance Program (LIRAP), Project Share, and more.
Assist with Outreaches throughout Whitman County (travel required)
Provides information to the public by telephone, in the office, or during outreach visits regarding available energy assistance services and programs.
Complete client paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
Answer phones, greet visitors, and make appointments as needed.
Resolves problems or emergencies affecting the availability or quality of services.
Maintain accurate records that provide for the proper evaluation and documentation of assigned services. Compiles program statistics. Complete appropriate reports or correspondence.
Client Tracking
Develop knowledge and proficiency with various databases: CAC client data base (CAP60), LIHEAP Data base to facilitate effective tracking, referral and follow-up of client services.
Assist with reporting for other miscellaneous programs: basic food education, thrift shop vouchers, water bill assistance, food bank intake and more.
