Ready to join a fast paced, results driven team in a hands-on working environment? Stimson Lumber Company is hiring entry-level production workers on the DAY SHIFT for its Priest River Mill. This physically demanding and rewarding position is the first step to a career at Stimson Lumber. Production workers pull green chain, learn basic machine operator tasks and receive forklift training.
Starting wage is $16.15 per hour and positions will be on the DAY shift!
Responsibilities:
Pulling lumber off the line
Stacking and packaging lumber for shipmentÂ
Sticker settingÂ
Applying bar codesÂ
General clean up of work area and yardÂ
Working in a safe manner at all times
Move quickly, consistently and safely to keep up with the current flow of production.
Qualifications:
Ability to lift up to 60 lbs., stand up to 10 hours a day, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, stoop and bend at waist, and move equipment as needed
Must be comfortable in year around outdoor temperatures, in loud conditions, with airborne particles (sawdust), and working around moving mechanical equipment.
Team player and highly self-motivated individual.
Perform repetitive work and stand for extended periods of time.
Able and willing to learn new positions in a short period of time.Â
Possess good communication skills and work well in a team setting.
