Total Care is currently looking for a full time nurse to work part time in our busy office as our Regional nurses assistant and part time with our Pediatric cases.

Qualifications:

Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and have a current license as a RN or LPN in the state of Washington. Must possess administrative, management, and communication skills. Public health or community health experience is recommended.

Job Summary:

The Office nurse directs and supervises; performs public-relations for the company; consults and plans with health care facilities regarding staffing needs, and communicates the concept of quality patient care to the general community. Works directly under the Regional RN while gaining experience working in the field with acute pediatric cases.

Duties:

Supervises nursing and therapeutic services offered by Total Care Inc. with direction from Regional Nurse

Communicate with discharge coordinators to grow Home Health Department.

Assess new patients and develop Plan of Treatment for care.

Establish MARS & TARS monthly for patient charts

Work closely with billing department to establish new patient care with Insurances authorizations.

Assigns appropriate staff with sufficient training to all cases.

Assumes responsibility for orientation for new nursing staff.

Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws regarding license and the certification of staff.

Ensures proper maintenance of medical records as prescribed by, and in compliance with local, state and federal law.

Assists in all in-service education programs for the field staff.

Maintains a good standing in the community.

Interviews and hires Nursing personnel and assists with Home Care staff.

Promotes supplemental staffing services.

Maintains and assumes adherence to the policy and procedure manual of the agency.

Assist with recruitment and screening of staff.

Communicates well with clients and families.

Makes quality assurance spot checks on field staff.

Periodically evaluates the performance of nursing staff, and in writing complete annual employee performance evaluations.

Perform all duties as assigned by the Regional Nurse & Administrator.

Shall hold periodic meetings with the nursing personnel, for purpose of communication.

Do all sign-up assessments and oversee all POCs and POTs with communication to the Regional Nurse.

Perform on-call rotation/duties as needed & Keep on-call backup well informed of issues and concerns.

Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.
