nullIn this role, you have the opportunity to join the R&D team that assists in the development of new medical equipment products; ensuring that performance, reliability and regulatory requirements are met at Philips in Bothell, WA.You are responsible for

Providing R&D REL (reliability) support in the form of parameter testing, fault analysis, test set up and upgrade of ultrasound test systems.

Performing functional acceptance tests and electrical and mechanical safety tests.

Providing environmental (climatic/dynamic) test support for design verification and reliability testing of new product and sustaining projects.

Conducting thermal surveys, IR tests, accelerometer monitored vibe tests, and other types of electrically or thermally monitored tests.

Providing legible and usable data sheets and test reports using various tools.

Developing and implement electrical and electro-mechanical fixturing for required test activities.

Assisting in calibration and validation of electrical and mechanical test equipment and methods.

Assisting in maintenance and repair of various environmental lab tools (test fixtures, chambers, treadmills, pneumatic testers, etc).

Performing minor mechanical modifications.

Maintaining product history records.

Creating document and maintaining test procedures and instructions.

Researching and specify materials for support of the test labs and associated project needs.

You are a part ofThis position is focused on hardware test and verification as opposed to software – i.e. mechanical and electrical product reliability, compliance and robustness. The Test Technician 4 provides support to reliability engineering teams by implementing reliability and verification test plans, developing and assembling mechanical and electrical test fixtures, conducting testing in a variety of reliability labs, documenting test data and performance, and providing/documenting failure analysis to root cause.Skills Profile:

Experience using electronic test equipment (digital Oscilloscopes, bus analyzers, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, data loggers, etc).

Must be able to fabricate and assemble mechanical and electronic components/assemblies per engineering documentation.

Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment, often under schedule pressure.

Knowledge of programming languages related to test equipment and control is helpful.

Excellent ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.

Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) tools.

Methodical work habits with attention to detail.

Self motivated with a desire to get the job done.

Must be able to lift 50 lb modules and equipment on and off shelving.

Required Experience

High School diploma or equivalent required

AS Degree and/or certification in Electronics, Electronics Technology, Test Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

Experience in a role related to laboratory test or equivalent.

4+ years’ experience in medical device testing.
